The Everyday Eyeliner

I've been working that 40-hour week schedule. It goes without saying that I needed an eyeliner that could keep up with me. Lately, that eyeliner has been Tarte's Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner in Brown.

The waterproof claim has yet to be tested, but I can testify this eyeliner has some decent staying power for a lady who applies it at 5:30am and removes it off at about 4 in the afternoon. Almost 12 hours of wear time!

Another plus: the brown shade makes it a very wearable day-to-day eyeliner. The creamy formula allows for smooth application, and dries down matte. However, since it is a waterproof formula, if you apply eyeliner slowly like I do (who lives life in the fast lane when it comes to an even eyeliner application??), then you might be wary to work in sections. If you tend to draw a shape of your wing and then fill it in, you might get patchy spots. But no worries--you can always layer on the eyeliner, and it'll be all good!

I've had this pot for a few months now and the actual product in the pot hasn't dried out yet, which is an improvement from Tarte's old clay pot eyeliner (which I believe is discontinued--but you might still find sold on Hautelook on Tarte Event Days!). The old clay pot eyeliner they had was very dry to begin with, and only dried out every time I opened the pot. I'm glad they changed up the formula for the better!

If you're looking for an eyeliner to define your eyes and yet still be wearable for everyday looks, try out this eyeliner! I'm considering their different shades of eyeliner myself--cobalt, lavender, rose gold, pastel blue, oh my...

Do you have an everyday eyeliner you love? Let me know!
