The moment I received the new Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation from influenster.com complimentary for testing purposes (see how I slipped that disclosure in?), I wanted to figure out what the heck "actyl-c" was. Maybelline claims it to be an "anti-oxidant" and that it's "a more durable form of Vitamin C."
Sounds appealing since we hear "vitamins" and "better skin" from putting on makeup--sounds too good to be true.
So I looked into it. I googled actyl-c with high hopes of finding an article or two about what it does exactly, and how it's similar to Vitamin C.
Nada.
I did find some interesting things pertaining to "actyl-c" though...
Check out my video to find out!
Unfortunately, my search failed for what "actyl c" is...I'm not too sure how it works, but for all I know, it's just a fancy version of Vitamin C, rather than a "more durable form" of Vitamin C.
Hopefully my next episode of "The Science of Beauty" will be more fruitful, but I also hope you enjoyed it if you watched it! If you have something you're interested in, and want some research done, let me know! Maybe it'll be the next episode ;)
