If you're searching for a new planner or are trying to get your mess of a life together (like me), then maybe you'll be interested in The Happy Planner by Me and My Big Ideas (aka mambi). Earlier this year they released their disc-bound 18-month vertical planner, and made a big impression among the planner community. Unlike the infamous Erin Condren and Kikki K planners, which are spiral-bound and ring-bound respectively, The Happy Planner utilizes plastic discs (with little hearts carved in them) to keep the planner together, which easily allows removal and addition of inserts, cards, folders, and more!

< Light blue transluscent discs with cute hearts!
Here, I'm featuring one of mambi's most recent releases, the "Stay Happy" Box Kit, which retails for $34.99 online + tax and shipping. There is also another beautiful planner (black and white stripes, with hot pink discs!), a recipe organizer, and a fitness planner available in box kits, and all four kits are only available online for now. From what I've heard, mambi doesn't plan to restock their box kits after they're sold out online, except for the black and white striped one. Hobby Lobby should have the b+w planner by now (9/22) in stores and online, and Michaels should be selling all 4 box kits by the end of October (10/31). According to mambi's blog, Hobby Lobby and Michaels are only receiving a certain number of kits, and will not be reordering... (WHY?!)
But anyway, here's what you're really here for...PICTURES, or as I like to call them: GLAMSHOTS.

Here's what's included in the "Stay Happy" box kit:

4 Sticker Sheets (The gold foiled sheet is just *hnnggg*)

//

5 sticky note pads on a removable dashboard, 20 sheets each pad

3 magnetic bookmarks

1 double-sided pocket folder (love the gold foiled accents!)

and of course, 1 12-month disc-bound planner (nondated)
Here's what the beauty looks like on the inside!

Inside front cover: "Love Laughter and Smiles"

Front page

Before the first monthly page... The left side is great for jotting down things for the month, what you're into, whose birthdays are coming up, important events, and a quote that's resonated with you.
Take note that the tabs of this planner are blank (and reinforced! --an upgrade from the first release of Happy Planners) so you can add the month stickers provided with whatever month you want to start on! You can get a closer look at the tab in the next few pictures.
But here's what the monthly view looks like:

Again, it's undated so you
can start on whatever month you'd like! There are some number stickers so you can add it to the calandar boxes, or you can stamp/write your own numbers. The weekday
titles are in a simple cursive, and the monthly boxes are 1.6 x 1.6 inch (3.15 x 3.15 cm) squares. And in this picture >> you can see the plastic reinforcement of the tab. Now you don't have to DIY with scotch tape!
This is what an example of the weekly view looks like... (the color scheme varies between months, but the corresponding month and week inserts have the same color scheme...but you can always switch them up! Overall, the planner flows with lovely watercolors.)

Another new feature of these planners is that they removed the titled "Morning/Afternoon/Evening" banners from the boxes, and moved them to the side, in a cleaner simple font. So now you have a little more room to write/decorate in your boxes! Speaking of, the weekly boxes measures as: 2.5 x 1.5 in (5 x 3 cm). Also, as you've seen, the weekend boxes in both the monthly and weekly views are colored in. Some people like to indicate the weekend in their own way, so that might be a downside if you want to cover up the colored boxes and change the color scheme of the pages.
Since the monthly and weekly inserts are essentially the same throughout the planner, with the exception of the color theme (of which are: light green, peach, grey, pink, light blue, and blue), I'll just show the tab pages:

And that's about it! I hope this post helps you on your decision on whether you should get this beauty! If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments down below and I'll do my best to answer them. Let me know if you cave and bought this planner, too!
