#BetterSkinChallenge (Week 3)

Let's cut to the chase:

Before the 3 weeks of foundation...

After about 2.5 weeks of application:

You'll have to excuse two minor blemishes that were caused by external sources that weren't the foundation. A hungry mosquito thought it would be funny if it bit me twice on the face, and the welts were just subsiding.

Overall, I think this foundation is pretty decent. I give it kudos for matching my yellow undertoned skin so well! However, it doesn't do well for those with extremely oily T-zones. Although it sets as a matte finish, throughout the day, the oil still peeks through, with or without mattifying primer. Maybe I'll try to mix it with another foundation and see if it will help with oil control. (I'm trying a new concoction of L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation and Covergirl's 3 in 1 foundation--spoiler: things are looking well for this young protagonist!) I might give this product another go when it gets into the drier, colder weather...maybe then my skin will appreciate a little more oil.

As for "Actyl-C" and its magic claims, I don't see an extravagant difference from day one. I can tell my acne scars have dulled down a little, but they're still there, and they can still be covered up with makeup.

With regards to the packaging, the pump is fantastic! I'm hoping that once I'm through with this foundation, I'll be able to pop off the pump and add it to Maybelline's Matte FitMe foundation bottle, since that one doesn't have the convenience of a pump.

Have you tried this foundation? How did it work for you?

-Monica

*The Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation was sent to me complimentary of Influenster and Maybelline for review and testing purposes.
